A Spice Basket Wedding – Interview with Kwame & Katisha
On October 26th, Kwame & Katisha tied the knot at Spice Basket, with Wedding Planning & Décor by Island Catering/Island Weddings. This is their recounting of that special day as told to us:
On our Wedding Day, being the center of attention made us feel like royalty—but we were also all nerves at the same time since we knew that all eyes were on us. My [Katisha’s] favorite memory of the day was walking down the aisle, seeing Kwame standing up front and then saying my vows to him. And my [Kwame’s] most memorable moment was seeing Katisha walk down the aisle representing true natural beauty. The only thing left for me to do was smile.
It was always a wish to have our wedding at Spice Basket. The scenery drew us to the venue and on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest, we’d rate our wedding as a 9.5. We really had fun at the reception! We literally danced the night away! At the beginning, we were concerned about whether or not the venue could accommodate both the ceremony and reception but now we know Spice Basket’s full potential: we were able to host both there without any problems.
It was a great experience working with the Spice Basket team through Island Weddings. They made everything very simple and easy for us. Spice basket brings out the true spirit of the Spice Isle with a lovely team. With that said, the venue adds to creating a memorable day for couples starting their new journey together.
To conclude, we’d like to say Thanks to the hard working team of Island Weddings and Island Catering for the long hours of hard work and planning that went into making our day both memorable and special.
